Whether you're new to sports betting or already comfortable with the different market types, here's a clear breakdown of what's available.
| Bet Type | How It Works | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Moneyline / Match Winner | Pick which team or player wins. The simplest bet type – you back one side and win if they come out on top. | New bettors, basketball, boxing |
| Point Spread / Handicap | The favoured team is given a points disadvantage. Your bet wins if they beat the spread, not just the game. | Basketball, American football, football |
| Over / Under (Totals) | Bet on whether the combined score of both teams will be above or below a set number. | Basketball, football, baseball |
| Parlay / Accumulator | Combine multiple selections into one bet. All legs must win for the parlay to pay out, but the potential return is significantly higher. | Experienced bettors seeking higher returns |
| Live / In-Play Betting | Place bets while the event is in progress. Odds shift in real time based on the score and match situation. | Basketball, football, tennis |
| Outright / Futures | Bet on the overall winner of a competition – a league title, tournament champion, or award winner – before it concludes. | PBA season, EPL title, Grand Slams |
| Correct Score | Predict the exact final score of a match. Higher risk than match winner but returns are proportionally larger. | Football, volleyball |
| Player Props | Bet on individual player performance – points scored, assists, kills, or other statistical outcomes within a match. | Basketball, esports, NFL |
Sports betting in the Philippines has a long history. From local basketball courts in Quezon City to sports bars in Cebu watching a live Premier League match, Filipinos have always had a deep connection with sport. maya99 brings that passion online in a clean, fast, and mobile-first platform that fits naturally into how people here actually consume sports.
The maya99 sportsbook covers the events that matter most to Filipino bettors – starting with basketball. Whether it's the PBA Governor's Cup, an NBA playoff run, or a FIBA qualifying window, basketball markets on maya99 are among the most detailed on the platform. You'll find point spreads, moneylines, totals, live in-play markets, and player-level props across the top competitions.
Basketball is arguably the sport closest to Filipino hearts, and the betting interest reflects that. PBA games attract consistent wagering activity, with Manila-based fans following every game closely. The NBA adds another full season of content from October through to the Finals in June, giving bettors months of daily game action to work with.
maya99 carries full market coverage for major basketball competitions – not just the winners of individual games but quarter-by-quarter lines, total points, and lead changes. Live betting is available for featured matchups, which means if you're watching a game and spot something the opening odds didn't account for, you can act on it in real time.
Boxing holds a special place in Philippine culture. Filipino fighters have competed at the highest level for decades, and major world title fights consistently draw betting attention from Manila to Davao. maya99's boxing markets go beyond just picking the winner – you can bet on method of victory, round groups, and whether the fight goes the distance.
For high-profile bouts, odds are posted well in advance so you can study the matchup and bet early. Live in-play lines open once the fight begins, giving you the option to react to how the opening rounds unfold.
Football coverage on maya99 spans the full spectrum from Philippine Football League action to the biggest European club competitions. The English Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, and UEFA Champions League all appear with comprehensive market menus. Outright competition winners, weekly match betting, Asian handicaps, and goalscorer markets are available across the top leagues.
During major international tournaments – AFC Asian Cup, FIFA World Cup qualifying, and the SEA Games – maya99 expands its football offering to match the increased interest from Filipino bettors.
The Philippines has one of the most engaged esports communities in Southeast Asia. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is particularly popular, and major tournaments draw significant viewership from across the country. maya99 includes esports betting across the top titles – Mobile Legends, Dota 2, CS2, and League of Legends – covering international tournaments and regional league play.
Esports betting works similarly to traditional sports. You can back a team to win a match, a series, or the overall tournament. Some markets go deeper, covering map winners and first-blood in individual game maps. It's a natural fit for Filipino bettors who are already watching these events closely.
The platform is built around what Filipino sports bettors actually need – speed, local payments, and reliable coverage of the right events.
Odds update in real time as the match unfolds. Bet on basketball quarter lines, football corners, or boxing round outcomes while the event is live. In-play markets are available for all major sports on maya99.

Sports betting involves real money and real outcomes are never guaranteed. These are practical habits that experienced bettors use to stay in control and make more informed decisions.
Sports betting is one of several categories available on maya99. Here's how it sits alongside the other main options on the platform.
Sports vs Live Casino: Live casino on maya99 features real dealers running Baccarat, Roulette, and card games via HD video stream. The outcome of a hand or spin is determined entirely by chance. Sports betting introduces a knowledge dimension – your understanding of teams, form, injuries, and matchups can inform better decisions. If you prefer a game that rewards research, sports is the natural fit. If you want atmosphere and simplicity, live casino delivers that.
Sports vs Slots: Slots are entirely chance-based and self-paced – every spin is independent of the last. Sports betting requires you to engage with the events, form your own view, and act within a window tied to real schedules. Both have their place depending on your mood and how much time and attention you want to invest.
Switching between categories: Many maya99 players use the sportsbook on game nights and play slots or live casino on quieter days. Your PHP balance covers all sections of the platform, so switching between sports betting and other games is seamless from the same account.
